Material a bit hard n gave me a blister
Hi Eunice, Thanks for letting me know and sorry to hear you got a blister. Yes Slappas do start firm and a bit tight so we do recommend giving them a bit of time to mould into, stretch and soften. The best way to do this is wear your new Slappas in the shower the hot water and moving your feet in them helps quicken the moulding process. You can also give the straps a gentle stretch supporting the straps and toe piece. Here are some other tips for you to try as well https://slappasthongs.com.au/pages/slappas-instructions. We make Slappas firm as we know they will soften as you wear them more and then they won't flatten out, loose their shape and support. It also makes them much more durable and the toe piece a lot stronger. Persistent definately pays off. So give them a bit of time to adjust to your feet and before you know it they will be great. All are varies stages of wear n tear
AND to date note one pair has broken, split or shown a fault (however not new puppy proof, my fault for leaving by the door ALLOWING my new thongs to be the latest Chew toy)

I have been buying Slappas for about 15 years ...... I have really sore feet and knees. The arch support is outstanding, if I have been out in other shoes and my feet are extra sore, the Slappas actually heal them. They last forever ............. Great company, great personal service.
These are a present for my 8 year old granddaughter, Isobelle. She has been looking at my thongs for as long as I can remember. She picked the colour, and with Denises' help we determined the correct size.
Today is Isobelle's birthday.
The only thing that I would like changed is the how to determine the sizing.
Love em. Base is almost hard, but really comfy. Like, extremely comfy. Best pair of arch support thongs I’ve ever had (16 pairs of various brands in). Also, sent really quickly.
Thought the arch might be higher and the front and back softer to mould into. Noticed on order that it didn’t ask a height for arch.

Slappas arch support may not be as high as some brands as we also want to fit people with flat feet and as you mould into them the support will push up into the arch of your foot. We also make Slappas a little firmer than alot of other brands as we know it will soften as you wear them more. It also makes them way more durable and the toe piece will be stronger so your Slappas will last longer. If you make them too soft to start with they will just flatten and loose the support. A great way to mould into your Slappas is to keep wearing them in the shower the hot water and moving your feet in them will quicken the moulding process. Have bought these before. They took a bit to get used to but once i did they were great
i bought these bath sandals many years ago by us in Austria, back then under a different name, and I believe Birkenstock also offered them for some time. Unfortunately, they haven’t been available in Europe for several years — so I’m all the more excited that I’ve rediscovered them at the ‘other end of the world’! ;-)
Love wearing my slappas and have been for many many years love the yellow so much plus the other colours but they last long long time very well made 👌💛

They are my home slippers, my summer footwear, I use them continuously and hence have bought several colours to go with different outfits. I have just bought my next pair of purple thongs, never been without a purple pair, in the 12 or 13 years I have been buying Slappa's, thanks Denise for finding me a pair. I have purple, black, orange, pink, seafoam green and grey pairs at the moment, also had blue and black/white pairs also.
Great thongs… would have given 5 stars but they are too narrow… I really did my homework too as I hate buying footwear on line because of this reason
