1,000 pairs. $5,000. One month. Can we do it?

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and once again Slappas is proud to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the incredible research they fund.

But this year, we're setting ourselves a BIG goal.

We want to raise $5,000 for breast cancer research during October.

To get there, we need to sell 1,000 participating pairs of Slappas.

For every pair sold from our selected NBCF collection throughout October, Slappas will donate $5 to NBCF.

And this year, we're getting the blokes involved too!

You don't have to wear pink to support breast cancer research.

We've added Navy, White and Black Slappas to this year's collection so husbands, partners, dads, sons and mates can step up too.

Our participating colours are:

Crystal Slappas: Pink, Black & White
Classic Slappas: Pink, Black, White & Navy

Why do we continue to support NBCF?

Breast cancer touches so many Australian families.

NBCF funds world-class breast cancer research across prevention, early detection, stopping progression and recurrence, and finding better treatments for hard-to-treat and metastatic breast cancers.

Over the past 16 years, giving back has always been important to Slappas.

We've donated more than $40,000 to causes including breast cancer research, Cystic Fibrosis, Variety NT and local charities, as well as donating more than 10,000 pairs of Slappas to charities, sporting teams, fundraisers and relief efforts.

We're a small Darwin business, so $5,000 is a pretty big target for us.

But we reckon our Slappas community can do it.

Why October?

You may have noticed Slappas no longer participates in Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Rather than continually discounting our products, we'd prefer to keep our pricing fair and use our business to give something back.

So if you were thinking about buying another pair of Slappas, trying your first pair, getting organised for Christmas or buying your partner a pair, we'd love you to do it during October.

You're still getting the same tough, supportive Slappas that customers tell us last them for years.

But this month, your purchase does something extra.

Help us get to 1,000 pairs.

Every pair gets us $5 closer.

100 pairs = $500

1,000 pairs = $5,000
